Cannot determine the year that a post was created

When looking at posts, I see no way to determine what year a particular post was created.
The date stamp just shows for example: Jan 01, 3:56 PM ...
Knowing the year for posts is essential when trying to understand the current relevance of a particular topic being discussed.
