Your reset password - 2 step verification is flawed outdated and irrevelant

I use Microsoft Office 365 at work for most of my communications, and it has been a great experience until today. I had to lie to get my password reset, and I knew my current password which was rejected. So instead of giving an option to reset password, you only asked if I forgot my password or still know it but have issues getting in. So naturally I picked the 2nd choice, but I had to lie so I could get into my work station which made me late. I don't appreciate it because it's either ignorance or incompetence. I should not have to lie because you have outdated systems for verification. If you want me to reverify who I am, just ask for an email or phone number. I was able to reset my password so I can verify who I am. I am sure when I start my business not to consider using your apps for this very reason.

Here's a solution:

First of all, if you need me to reset my PW, then offer to reset my PW (what an ingenious idea!)

Second, don't ask me to lie on electronic media that I use for work. Make it simple; send me an email or text so I'm aware that accessing sensitive information led me to reset my password in order to maintain access.

Third, allow me the option to click reset password and explain why.

That should about do it.

Just want to remind you that the team responsible for Microsoft account will be unlikely to see your feedback here.

If you want they know your frustration, consider open an item on "Feedback Hub" with category "Security and Privacy" -> "Microsoft Account".

(Seems if you never opened it before, you won't be able to find it in your "Start menu". You have to open "Microsoft Store" and search this App, then it'll tell you the App has already been installed and you can click "Open" there to launch it. After after do that once you can find your "Feedback Hub" item on "Start menu")
