Tags for questions

When asking a question, it is nearly impossible to find relevant tags. If I enter relevant tags, I'm told they don't exist. If I enter no tag, I can't post.

I have literally typed 'A' to see if there are any existent tags with 'a' that would be appropriate. Then I type 'B' and repeat the process. Then 'C' , 'D', etc.

Why are there no tags for "C#", ".NET Framework", "WMI", "CIM", "Storage", "Removable Drives", "VS2019", "System.Management", etc.

It is really frustrating to have to pick some marginally relevant tag, just to post a question!

The openspec-* tags are dedicated to supporting issues related to open specifications. You can find open specifications here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/openspecs/

Since your question does not pertain to one of these specifications, I've removed the openspecs-questions tag and added the not-supported tag. In addition, if you have feedback or suggestions for Q&A, please submit them here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/content/idea/post.html

If I've misunderstood your question and you believe this is related to the Open Specifications documents, please clarify, providing the document name and section with which you have the question or issue.

@MikeBowen-1599 you are correct that my question is not about Open Specifications. I was unable to post my question without a tag, so I looked for any tag regarding "tags" or "questions", and this was the only thing I could come up with. If you could suggest any tags relevant to my question about "Microsoft Q&A Feedback", I would be grateful. Thanks.

Btw, FYI all Visual Studio related tags are prefixed with "vs-"

Tags are really badly organized
For example, there were several windows-api-... tag : they all have been removed with now just windows-api tag,
...while there are millions of azure- tags !

Please create an option for each member to create a list of preferred tags.

Then time is no longer wasted searching for tags.
