I see Microsoft personnel often posting comments as answers. For example see When I create a new Windows Forms project (C#) in Visual Studio, my Solution Explorer is all blank, not showing any files - Microsoft Q&A. The first "answer" (chronologically at least) is a request for clarification.
I am not sure what software is being used for Q&A but it appears to be the Stack Overflow software. Unlike MSDN, the Stack Overflow software is designed to be non-conversational. Yet people are using it like the MSDN. In Stack Overflow a request for clarification would be made as a comment and request that the original question be updated.
Or am I wrong? Are Microsoft personnel showing by example how the Q&A is intended to be used (in a conversational manner)?
I think this explains the main reason why Microsoft personnel post answers that sometimes are a duplicate of existing answers.
