Hello @DP-0940, sorry for your experience. Could you describe which API cause this issue and how to reproduce this issue? And can you share the issue link you submitted in Feedback Hub? So I can help to check its current status. Thanks for your understanding.

I don't have url now, anyway it was posted at least 2 or 3 times via HUB (I can share later if I find to prove)
Quickly later it was posted and explained in details there: https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/2de54518-2f96-439c-aa3e-4d30a1960864/setwindowdisplayaffinity-bug?forum=windowssdk

It's also related to your answer to some guy who asked here:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/79828/screencapture-with-filter-windows.html

But you forgot to mention that it's just broken and does not draw black rectangle in 20h1 and 20h2 anymore due to stupid bug
Pass this to desktop developers and at least fix it for comming 20h2
WDA_EXCLUDEFROMCAPTURE - transparent ok(new api)
WDA_MONITOR - transparent but should draw black rec.
now with buggy 20h1 and 20h2 both

Thanks for your feedback and sharing the link. I find it. You can edit your question body for including this feedback link, so that anyone who have same problem can directly vote on this feedback. This is what we can do to speed up a fix. And I'll share your link to my previous thread to receive more attention. Thanks for your understanding.

No, that's not truth. Reported 2 or more times never fixed.
Where can I concact desktop developers directly ?

I don't believe there is a way to get in touch with the Microsoft developers directly.
The Feedback Hub is the best option for now, they do receive a lot of requests/feedback so it may take a very long while before some things are fixed, it also depends on priorities.

If it's urgent you may also create a support request directly over here:

@DP-0940, Thanks for reporting this issue, and I am confirmed this issue was fixed in the preview builds. If you needs this to be serviced to in-market Windows, please open a support request to make that request, and include the business impact statement (why need the black window instead of just having the window removed from the capture altogether). Thanks for your understanding.

Hello, I have a question about what you replied to, so I posted a comment.
You mentioned that you confirmed that the issue was fixed in the preview build.
May I know the preview build version?

I'm using Window 10 Pro 21H1 (OS Build 19043.1200) but still the WDA_MONITOR setting makes the screen transparent.
