Hi,

We have per device license and per user rdp license. The license mode was in per device and the per user license was not coming into utilization.

To use both per device and per user license, we have changed the license mode to Per user.

Now per user license is utilizing but there is some per device license is available which is not able to utilize.

Is there any option in GPO to configure some set of user should use under per user license and some set of device should use under per device license.

Kindly advice.

Thanks,

Udaiyar

    Hello @Suresh Udaiyar

We can install both types of Licenses onto a licensing server, as for the server Licensing Mode, I don’t think there is a mixed mode. RDS licensing is not concurrent, it is either Per User , or Per Device .

In group policy (gpedit.msc), you can specify the Licensing Mode, Per User or Per device.

    Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Remote Desktop Services\Remote Desktop Session Host\Licensing
