Hi There,

I got stuck in a different issue related to my MSIX application to attach it.

Azure AVD Session host devices got joined in Azure AD only. Will this scenario supported for MSIX App Attach ?

The reason I am asking is I am not able to grant access for AZURE AVD Session Host devices

as per the MS link https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-desktop/app-attach-file-share#how-to-set-up-the-file-share I was able to perform RBAC Configuration, However, when I tried to grant NTFS permission I was not able to add grant the required permissions as objects are not able to come.

My current configuration :

I have Active directory with Cloud Sync enabled.
Users & Groups syning from OnPrem to Cloud
Azure AVD Session Host Servers are joined in Azure AD only.
FSLOGIX Profile container is working without any issues.

I suspect I must have to grant the permissions for Session host servers to Storage file share, However, I was not able to add as I can't find these resources in on-prem and they are in Azure AD joined only.

    @Hun boy

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Platform, thanks for posting your query here.

    I reached out to internal team on this, you are running into this issue because AAD hosts are not yet supported as there is no device object for NTFS permissions.
    This is on product team backlog. However, there is no ETA yet on this.

    I would request you to drop this feature request here.

    Hope this helps.

    I know this is a 2 year old post, but I had the same issues and got around it by hosting the vhd files on a file server within Azure so that I could give read permissions to the AVD hosts. It works :)
