How can Windows 365 Cloud PCs be migrated to a new tenant?

Working with a client that is migrating their AzureAD/M365/W365 tenant into a different tenant. Is there a direct migration path between tenants for provisioned W365 Cloud PCs? Are there any 3rd Party tools that address this? Or will be a PC capture ( think USMT or other tool that does this) and then rehydration of that content onto a new CloudPC in new tenant?

    Hello @Dale Newhart

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Q&A!

When migrating Windows 365 Cloud PCs to a new tenant, currently there isn't a direct migration path available. However, there are two main options to consider. Firstly, you can opt for PC capture and redeployment, which involves using tools like USMT to capture user state and data from Cloud PCs in the old tenant and then provisioning new Cloud PCs in the target tenant with this captured data. Alternatively, you can recreate Cloud PCs in the new tenant, requiring users to reinstall applications and transfer data manually. It's essential to consider factors like user accounts, application licensing, and data transfer when deciding on the best approach. While Microsoft's Move feature allows intra-tenant moves, migration between tenants isn't supported at the moment. You can find more information in Microsoft's documentation: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-365/enterprise/move-cloud-pc

If you find this solution useful, consider accepting it.
