When creating bootable USB for vhd, vhdx or wim, it gives the option to create ISO for Nano Server but button for "Create" is greyed out and apparently no way to make the ISO. It's a problem when trying to boot from Wim, vhd or vhdx using the Nano Server Image Builder.

If you want to create bootable USB media, we need to make sure have an available Nano Server image rather than create it in this Step. So first, we need to choose "create a new Nano Server image", and after image created, then reopen Nano Server Image Builder and choose "Create a bootable USB media"

When I did create bootable media, the create ISO image was impossible. That's the one I'm having trouble with.. I need direct info for ISO.

Do you mean you have not created Nano Server image, right? But you chose to tick Create bootable usb media, after that, when you go back to click "Create a new Nano Server image" it is not possible to click, right?
If "Create a new Nano Server image" is not available for you, would you provide the capture?

Thanks for the reply, so it means we use the same tool titled "NANO SERVER IMAGE BUILDER" to 1st create an image of the Nano Server . And then we use the same tool to create a bootable USB drive for Nano Server?
But do we create these images of Nano Server by using "NANO SERVER IMAGE BUILDER" from an installation CD/(Source of the WinServer 2016 Data Center or Standard Edition)?
As far as I remember, it is the WinServer 2016 Data Center and Standard Editions which have Nano Server installation files which are located in their subfolders.
Pls correct me If I am wrong.

I see that it says something about the iso image that I have provided in the previous comment. But it's not giving me direct info on how to make the create the ISO. I know how to do everything else except that part.

So you mean that the ISO image of Nano Server which we create using "Nano Server Image Builder, that ISO image should be made bootable before copying it on a USB drive?
Here's the solution that I solved myself. I was supposed to type C:\ in the directory output follow by the folders such as Download in order to create the iso that's all it was needed.
