Dears,

On visio, while making the draw of several Master Data applications that connect together in the same sheet, I arrived to the situation where I would like to distinguish applications that will, in the near future, be decommissioned (legacy apps) as well as processes that are still not automated (like create manually an excel file to feed after another application).

How are you presenting this two situations ? Are you using dotted or hiphen arrows and colors?

can someone please share (illustrated) what is the best practice for this two different topics?

Thank you very much, Pedro

Hello, Sorry, I think I did not understood your answer. I have already the draw made in Visio. Now, what I would like to understand is what is advise in terms of how to represent legacy apps and manual processes.

For example, for legacy apps, what are you using to show that? are you using just a different color? or are you using a connector with dotted lines? I mean, how do do you signalize in your diagrams that a certain shape is a legacy app? and how do you signalize that from APP A to APPB, the ingestion from is not automated, instead the ingestion is done via creation of an excel which is created manually?

    Thank you
