package distribution failing

Not able to distribute package from primary, following seems to be error in distmgr

The source directory doesn't exist or the 'Configuration Manager' service cannot access it, Win32 last error = 2

checked the following

  1. primary server computer account is part of admin group in primary server and all other site servers
  2. package source share and security permissions are set right. Admin group has read/write access
  3. SYSTEM account has share and security permission (READ/WRITE)

Unable to distribute new package as well as old packages.

Am I missing something here? any pointers will be of great help.

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.
    First, do you have appropriate AV exclusions in place or have you tried simply disabling your AV and testing again?
    And you may need to check the distmgr.log for the offending directory and delete it like below thread described:
