How to monitor for deleted backups/deleted policy data on a Storsimple device as part of the decommissioning process

When decommissioning a StorSimple 8000 series appliance, following https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/storsimple/storsimple-8000-deactivate-and-delete-device , it mentions to monitor the cloud consumption charts for a drop in capacity usage following the backup policy's being erased from the appliance.

Where are these located in the portal and is a small drop indicative of the entire backup policy having completed deletion or does it need some time to complete? How can I tell when the operation is completed so to continue with the decommission process?

All Storsimples have since been retired now and associated storage accounts removed
