Hello, I have a question:)

Can I use VM Gen1 and VM Gen2 for Azure Dedicated Host?

I have to use Azure Dedicated Host soon.

However, the VMs to be assigned are Gen1, Gen2 VMs.

Can I assign a different version of VM to one host?

Can I use VM Gen1 and VM Gen2 for Azure Dedicated Host?
Yes, you can use Generation 1 or Generation 2 VMs for Azure Dedicated host.

Can I assign different generations of VMs to one host?
No, you cannot assign a mix of Generation 1 and Generation 2 VMs to one host. You would need to create separate hosts for each Generation.
When you create a dedicated host, in addition to a name for the host, you're required to provide the SKU for the host. Host SKU captures the supported VM series and the hardware generation for your dedicated host.

    Sizes and hardware generations
A SKU represents the VM size series and type on a given host. You can mix multiple VMs of different sizes within a single host as long as they are of the same size series.
The type is the hardware generation. Different hardware types for the same VM series will be from different CPU vendors and have different CPU generations and number of cores.
Once a Dedicated host is provisioned, you can't change the size or type. If you need a different size of type, you will need to create a new host.

Hope that helps. If you have any further questions, let me know in the comments.
