I created several images over the years. This one example when drag and drop it into my drawing. I have to re-edit the colors.
Example of a typewriter. I have been using Visio for over the 25 Years and I upgraded to 2021. I looked for a setting to change. Unable to located it. Thanks for for your help.

Did you mean the shape was changed in Visio 2021?
Did this problem appear in all shapes?

I think you'll find that this effect is caused by themes which can override a shape's own settings with that of the theme. Turn themes off for your template (No Theme).
