Nested virtualization in Azure Stack Hub is supported from from release 2102 and later.

@vipullag-MSFT Thanks for the info, however which specific VM sizes within Stack Hub support this?

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure-stack/user/azure-stack-vm-sizes?view=azs-2206 doesn't show any information on this.

Side note, nothing in the release notes for 2102 or 2108 say anything about supporting nested virtualization.

@vipullag-MSFT While this does seem to be the case, even when using a nested virtualization VM size in Azure Stack Hub, such as F8s, I can use WSL, but for Hyper-V it still generates that the following error stating:
"Hyper-V cannot be installed: The processor does not have required virtualization capabilities."
Do you know how this can be resolved?

Fs series do not support nested virtualization, Fs_v2 should

N'est virtualisation is supported in the same VM sizes than the ones in public Azure, for example Ds_v3

OK, yep, supported VM type Ds_v3 is available on ASH.

Reason I didn't see this in my list was due to these VM types not supporting premium disks.

I guess my follow-up question would be "will there be future support for premium disks?"

I wouldn't expect much to be added to azure stack hub in the future. Not only regarding nested virtualization but rather "at all" :/
