DSVM Roadmap

Hi DSVM team,

Currently, as the Azure cloud team at a university of applied sciences, we're investigating how we can enable the researchers in our organization. They regularly have data science practices within their research and so the DSVM image comes as a great help.

Still, it is unclear to us how the roadmap will evolve and what tools will be supported. Some researches would like to use RStudio for example and I see in the release notes it is removed last year from the image. (Why is that btw?)

We kind of need some kind of guarantee the tools provided are going to be available for the next x months or so, to be able to support DSVM from the central IT dept. Is there any way for use to know what is going to be deprecated or added in the next months/quarters?

    1.Which feature you are interested in so that I can make sure it has been covered?

    2.Which time range you want to check on the roadmap? I can not guarantee to cover the entire but I would like to cover it as much as possible.
