Hi,

You could use internet-based client management (IBCM) to manage Configuration Manager clients when they aren't connected to your internal network.

Hi @bizcntradmin-7120,

Yes it's possible to remotely manage laptops/desktops by using SCCM/MECM, you'll find some information here:

How to remotely administer a Windows client computer by using Configuration Manager
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/core/clients/manage/remote-control/remotely-administer-a-windows-client-computer

Also since your question is related to ConfigMgr/SCCM I would suggest you ask the more subject matter experts over at the dedicated SCCM Site and Client Deployment forum by either posting a new question (thread) over here:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/topics/mem-cm-general.html

Or by changing the tag to the following: mem-cm-general

(If the reply was helpful please don't forget to upvote or accept as answer, thank you)

Best regards,
Leon

The preferred solution in ConfigMgr for remote client management is the Cloud Management Gateway: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/core/clients/manage/cmg/plan-cloud-management-gateway. IBCM is technically valid but has a slightly a higher bar for configuration and overall maintenance and may/will not have some of the upcoming features available when using this method including Remote Control.
