ssrs 2019 asking for a username and a password

Hi,

Installed vs 2019 community, the ssrs visx add in, and sql server reporting services, enabled IIS, can see Reporting Services started in Task Manager. Now when I try to run a report in the Visual Studio 2019 SSRS editor it asks for a user name and password. It's not a complicated environment, there is only one admin userid on the windows 10 machine that I know of. That userid doesn't seem to work either with the password or the pin. What userid is it looking for?

Joyzhao, Yeah that makes sense. I guess I would ask, why once you DO have a report server database, the report web portal logs you in but when you don't, it won't let you log in to the the report web portal and repeats the username in strange ways. But that seems like the answer. I would also think we are due a "no report server database" error message which I never saw.

@FlashGordon-7254 Hi, I am getting the same enter credentials message. I have deployed reports but when I try to access the report url on the same server it prompts to enter credentials. When I enter the credentials it displays the reports. I want to disable this popup. and want windows to authenticate automatically.
