Hi All,

Is it possible to use VMware workstation inside Azure Virtual Machine (server or client OS)

Details: I want to build a lab environment as below:

  1. Create an Azure Virtual Machine.
  2. Install Vmware workstation in it.
  3. Build Virtual Machines inside this Vmware workstation.

Is it possible to do this ?

If yes, please let me know the appropriate VM size, Location, how to enable Virtualization?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,

Sekhar

Sorry, but no you could not.

Virtualization applications other than Hyper-V are not supported in Hyper-V virtual machines, and are likely to fail. This includes any software that requires hardware virtualization extensions.
