can not open port 25 for my VM

Dear Team,

We have services which is communication with each other port on port 25. But as we have seen azure have already blocked 25 port for security reason. So can we have any other alternative to get working this services with azure VM. Currently we are using local provider VM which we want to shift to azure.
Our subscription is from oct-2018.

Let us know any solution so we can plan our decision based on this.

Azure will not block any ports, Check NSG rules, VM firewall rules and if you have deployed NVA firewall on azure check the port on NVA. If you have still facing issue use PowerShell test-netconnection command check where the port is blocking.

This is incorrect. By default port 25 is blocked to prevent running mail servers in Azure, which is against the terms of service.

Can you take a look at the below doc? Azure blocked port 25 outbound for security reasons and based on the subscription that you use, you can request to unblock port 25. More details on this doc: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-network/troubleshoot-outbound-smtp-connectivity

My problem is resolved now. In case we really need 25 port then we can request from azure panel.
By folowing below steps.
Technical > Virtual Network > Connectivity > Cannot send email (SMTP/Port 25).
thank you guys for prompt reply.

Request to enable Port 25 email flow

Keep in mind this is only for some specific type of Azure subscriptions documented on that exact same page.

Azure is having many issues, it is time to move back to your own office. They want to charge you for supporting their errors. In the Azure Portal I test the out bound port 25 and get success, but in the VM I use telnet to test port 25 and it fails. On my laptop at home port 25 works just fine, which is strange because they say ISPs block out bound port 25. As technology of computers keep growing the need for an Azure or AWS server will go away.
