Make sure the VM uses an external vSwitch then if domain joined the vEthernet should have the static ip address of domain controller listed for DNS and no others such as router or public DNS. If a workgroup member then use your ISP or other public DNS on connection properties.

  1. I can see multiple (3) NICs in host machine

  2. But I can see only one (1) NIC in Hypver V virtual switch.

  3. Even while creating external switch also NICs are not listing (only existing 1 NIC I can see)

Still internet not working in Hypver V virtual machine and getting error as unable to open the search page. VM is getting still APIPA address.

Hi,

Could the Hyper V host access the Internet? If yes, please follow the steps below to enable VM access Internet:

a. Create an External Virtual switch on the Hyper V host and bind to the physical NIC:

b. Make the VM connect to the external virtual switch:

c. If the physical network has a DHCP server, after we connect the VM to the external virtual, the VM will get IP settings and could access the Internet.

Thanks for your time!
Best Regards,
Anne

What operating system is installed on host? Is the hardware supported?
https://www.windowsservercatalog.com/

if so has the latest firmware, ROM bios, chipset, and driver support packs been installed?
