How to create a VM without Trusted launch and security type in portal?

Hi All,

I have deployed the windows os vm , but not able to enable Disaster recovery since it was deployed with Trusted launch, and also tried with standard type facing same error. some one please help on this

    Hi Aravind,

    In the portal, please verify that the new VM was created with Standard security. You can check this on the Overview tab, scroll down and look for Security type: Standard. Reason I want you to check is sometimes when creating via the portal it will switch security back to trusted launch when you change one of the other options.

    Hello, @Aravind !How do I back up a Trusted launch VM using the Azure portal?

    While we've covered in depth how to create a Standard security VM in the Azure portal and why you are unable to use Disaster Recovery/Azure Site Recovery with a Trusted Launch VM in the answer from @TP, what backup options are available if you want to use a Trusted Launch VM?

    Trusted Launch now supports Azure Backup. Backup of trusted launch VMs is supported through Enhanced policy. You can enable backup through a Recovery Services vault, the pane for managing a VM, and the pane for creating a VM.
