Azure site recovery Azure trusted launch VM

It seems that Azure Site Recovery still does not support Trusted Launch VMs despite the Portal now defaulting to having trusted launch enabled when deploying virtual machines.

This is causing issues with customers building VM's and expecting to be able to enable them for DR to find it isn't supported.

Please can Microsoft confirm whether site recovery for Trusted launch VMs in on the roadmap and provide a timeline?

Thanks

    Hello James Cook,

Welcome to the MS Q&A forum.

Yes, correct, the following Virtual Machine features are currently not supported with Trusted Launch:

You are not the first user who asked about this limitation. I found the similar feature requests: Azure Site Recovery support for Trusted Launch VM, Need option to Disable Trusted Launch for Running VM, Azure Site Recovery NA replication of VMs with UEFI and SecureBoot enabled on the feedback forum. If interested, you may upvote it.

In general, Azure feature or product team would check feasibility of a feature request, prioritize against existing feature backlog, add them in roadmap as appropriate and would announce and/or update the related Azure document once a feature request is addressed.

    Sincerely,

    Olga Os.

Do you know when Microsoft is planning to add support for VM's with Trusted Launch?
I would like to use this functionality for DR purpose

Fully agree. This is ridiculous. I have a client who is converting an HA setup to DR and now they may need to reprovision a bunch of VMs (and reload/reconfigure software) because it's not available. Client may jump to another provider this week.
