SharePoint Site Collection Discovery within SCOM

We are using the SharePoint 2013/9 MP from Microsoft to monitor SCOM but we do not discover any site collections. I checked the discovery and it's enabled.

Can you provide any ideas? Do you see any Site collections?

Hey @reuvygroovy,

did you check for discovery related events on the members of the SP farm? What about a related events on your management servers?

Regards,
Stoyan

Hi @reuvygroovy,

Make sure your Run As Account has enough permissions on your SharePoint farm, I suggest you go through the management pack guide, it will guide you through everything.

It does. We are able to collect data and monitor all other objects. Seems to be something specific with Site Collections?

What SCOM version and build are you running?

Which exact SharePoint management pack are you using?

If you go to the Monitoring pane, then go to Discovered Inventory, click on Change target type and look for "SharePoint Site Collection", make sure you check View for all targets, do you get any results there?

Empty, tried that

Difficult to say as I personally don't have a SharePoint environment to test with, here's a very old thread mentioning about a reboot which solved the discovery issue:
sharepoint 2010 site collections not discovered in scom

You could always give that a go.
