Search not functioning after changing DCOM settings

After changing the computer-wide DCOM default Authentication Level in Component Services from 'Connect' to 'None' and restarting the machine, the Search function no longer works. Typing in the search bar, pressing Win+S or typing anything with the start menu open does not give any response.

This is repeatable for multiple machines running Win10 Enterprise and Home, 22H2.

I'm unsure if this is related, but I found some Application Errors in Event Viewer:

There was also an almost identical event with Exception code 0xc000027b.

I have already tried ending the SearchApp task from task manager and starting the .exe manually, but nothing changed.

Reverting the authentication level back to 'Connect' will fix the issue, but I'm not allowed to do this due to legacy applications that are dependent on this.

Does anyone have any kind of alternative?
