How can I configure Azure Blob storage SFTP to access through Traffic Manager

Hi Can anyone help to answer if we can configure azure blob storage with SFTP behind traffic manager. My requirement is to configure Disaster Recovery to the external source (Client push data through SFTP) if any region outage happened. If configured, can you provide me procedure as well

Could you please kindly provide more information regarding on how you are expecting to use Traffic Manager to access your SFTP Blob Storage?

Traffic Manager only provides traffic-routing method for your endpoint. It is a DNS-based load balancer that offers different algorithms for routing to the right region. It uses DNS resolution to redirect requests to an appropriate geographical location endpoint, which means that when a user makes a request to your application FQDN, it will check from where this request is coming from and then forward to the most appropriated endpoint.

Apologies for the delayed response, we could test Traffic Manager with Azure blob storage SFTP, But from external device seems it is not compatible. So we have not going to use traffic manager here for our requirement. Thanks for your support.

I too am interested in this topic. Our scenario is we want to:

Direct all users to Traffic Manager at the edge to an sftp endpoint with a custom domain name (i.e. sftp.mycustomdomain.com)

Have two SFTP services configured on two different storage accounts in different regions, with one of them up, the other one down

I.E., locally redundant storage account in the East, and another account in the West

Both SFTP services will have the same users / passwords

Traffic Manager will check the health of port 22 via TCP to see which site is actually up, and direct users to that SFTP endpoint.

The goal is to have SFTP that can be failed over and have Traffic Manager automatically route the end client to the appropriate SFTP service, in the region that's active.
