Data Query Import SP to Excel - Unable to read data from transport connection...

I have been running reports for over a year by importing SharePoint Lists to Excel. Just this month it stopped working. The actual error I am getting always happens at 2MB of the import.

The error is: Unable to read data from transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

I had the SharePoint admins confirm this is not a permissions issue since they matched my permissions to theirs as a test.

The weird thing is it doesn't matter what SharePoint list I try to import, it always stops around 2MB with the same error. I have tried two other people and they do not get an error. They are able to take my Excel file and refresh the queries just fine.

Any idea what is happening here?

Based on your description, I want to confirm some information.

    1. Which version of SharePoint are you using?
    2. Do the error message pops up when using the Export to Excel feature? If you are using other solutions , would you like to say a bit more? Could you provide screenshots when you have the error “at 2MB of the import” as you mention?

    3. Have a try to export another list to Excel and see if the error occurs again.
