Hello Focks,
How to login Azure VM using Entra ID credential via Azure bastion. I am able to login only with VM local account credentials but not with Entra id credential.
Azure VM running with Windows 10 22H2 OS and it is Azure AD joined.
Please help me with this solution.

To log in to an Azure VM using Microsoft Entra ID credentials via Azure Bastion, follow these steps:
- Update VM Operating System: Ensure your Azure VM is running Windows 11, Windows 10 version 20H2, or later, or Windows Server 2022 with the October 2022 Cumulative Update or later.
- Client Machine Requirements: The Windows client machine should be Microsoft Entra registered, joined, or hybrid joined to the same directory as the VM.
- Assign Azure Roles: Ensure you have either the Virtual Machine Administrator Login or Virtual Machine User Login Azure role.
- Launch Remote Desktop Connection: Open
mstsc.exeon your client machine. - Configure Advanced Settings: In the Advanced tab, select "Use a web account to sign in to the remote computer."
- Enter VM Hostname: Specify the hostname of the VM (IP address is not usable in this mode).
- Enter Credentials: When prompted, enter your credentials in the
user@domain.comorAzureAD\UPNformat (for Windows 10 or later PCs). - Connect via Azure Bastion: Use Azure Bastion with the Azure CLI and the native RDP client
mstscto establish the connection.
