I have a problem reading out the data from the Kinect v2 in the Kinect CHOP. Kinect TOP is working. Most of the time all data in the Kinect CHOP is displayed as 0. Sometimes there are spikes for a very short time, but very irregular and random.

I can't figure out the problem or where it's coming from.

I have installed Kinect for Windows SDK 2.0, Runtime v1.8 (also tried v1.7) and Microsoft .NET SDK 8.0.100 (x64). Kinect is working and plugged into USB 3.0, reinstalled the drivers for many times, kinect driver is updated... nothing helped so far.

Hi @zorn.labor Greetings! Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum. Thank you for posting this question here.

Reading the description of the problem, this sounds like an issue with the Kinect Chop derivative. I have looked into the Kinect Chop forum, and it appears you have reported the following bug - Kinect CHOP bug displaying data Thank you for reporting it there. I would wait for the SMEs on that platform to assess this issue and share more findings.

    Solution identified

The subject wasn’t far enough away from the Kinect camera. The device only recognizes a person when they are at least 1 meter away.
