Hi All,

I am new to AVS and have some doubts with AVS.

  1. Can we have the AVS for primary and secondary (PROD and DR regions) in single subscription?
  2. If we are using Zerto as the DR solution and ExpressRoute Global Reach is not enabled between AVS primary and secondary regions, is there any other connectivity option available?

    1. You can definitely have both your primary and secondary (like PROD and DR) regions set up within a single subscription in Azure VMware Solution (AVS). This setup involves having one AVS private cloud in an Azure region as your primary site and another AVS private cloud in a different Azure region as your disaster recovery site.

    2. If ExpressRoute Global Reach isn't available for your AVS regions, there are other ways to connect them. For example, if you're using a Site-to-Site VPN, Virtual WAN can be used to facilitate transit connectivity between your on-premises VPN and the Azure VMware Solution ExpressRoute. This is particularly relevant when you're using Zerto as your DR solution, as it generally requires robust connectivity like ExpressRoute Global Reach between the primary and secondary AVS private clouds.
