I have a Microsoft Kinect 2. I bought a licensed Kinect 2 software from Dale Phurrough (hidale.com). This software enables using Kinect 2 with Max MSP software. It works well, except for speech recognition. When I start the application, I have the 2 error messages in Max MSP:
Here is the error message:

"Unable to start speech recognition. Ensure you have installed the Speech v11 Runtime and needed Kinect language pack(s)"

"needed class functionality is not installed and registered"

I have already installed Microsoft Speech Runtime v11, and an English language pack as well. Previously, I had installed all necessary softwares (such as SDK) from microsoft page. The Kinect software that works within max msp is correctly installed and licensed. I have Microsoft Windows 11, a 11th generation intel processor.

Hi @Lajos Sebestyen Szabo Greetings! Greetings! Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum. Thank you for posting this question here.

I want to check with you and confirm if you are testing the Azure AI Speech recognition on Azure Kinect DK device and not Kinect for Windows V2 As per the documentation the speech services work on Azure Percept DK and Azure Kinect DK devices. Please refer the Device deployment kits for compatibility.

I have also looked into the Features supported for Kinect for Windows V2 and could not find the support for Speech recognition. Please refer the below image for details

Please ensure you are testing the SDK on the compatible device. Hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any additional questions on this.
