This problem has persisted for some time now. I don't remember when I updated my laptop, but it was probably somewhere in the first 5 months of 2023. After it happened, literally have not been able to hear any audio come out of my speakers. I can't even use regular earbuds either. The only thing that works is a headset through the USB ports, which has audio and can detect my microphone. Honestly just getting tired of this having tried endless solutions in the past year with nothing working. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Reinstall audio driver from the support site of the manufacturer to fix the issue.

    Hello,

Firstly, I suggest that check Windows Updates. Sometimes, the problem can be solved by installing the latest Windows updates. Go to Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.

You can treat this tool to check. This in-built tool can find and fix audio problems automatically.

Open the Settings app and go to System.

Under System, go to Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.

Click on Run next to Playing Audio troubleshooter.

Check these services below if they are running.

Press Windows + R, type services.msc and click OK.

In the Services window, make sure these services are Running and have their Startup type set to Automatic:

Windows Audio Windows Audio Endpoint Builder Remote Procedure Call Meanwhile, we could try to roll back the sound driver version to check.

If the issue still insists, I suggest that system restore could be a choice.

    Best Regards,

I recommend to update the audio driver to latest version, see if it helps. You can get latest version from your device manufacturer's website.
