Azure - Unable to find size option D8s_v5

Question

We're trying to resize and upgrade one of the Azure VMs from Standard B2ms to D8s_v5. Based on Microsoft articles and estimate calculator, it is available for Canada Central (Zone 1) under Dsv5-series group. But on the Portal, we can only see D8s_v3. Any thoughts? Your expertise is greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hi Maria,

You cannot resize from B2ms to D8s_v5 because D8s_v5 does not have a temporary disk. Since B2ms has a temporary disk you are limited to VM sizes that include a temporary disk.
