Hello, It seems I'm not the first one having this issue, but I need you to shed some light on my situation as I seem to be running in circles for the past 24 hours.

The premise is simple: submit a new app to the partner center.

In order to do so, I need to provide a package URL. In order to sign a msix package, I need to a package/identity/name. In order to get that, I need a package. You see the circle here, so I created an package with a placeholder name and made that available for download on azure file server:
https://rtiappsa.blob.core.windows.net/builds/1.0/excel_reader.msix

As you can see, it matches the requirements of starting with https:// and it includes a version number. But then, regardless the browser I use, this url is rejected. So please tell me through what hoop I need to jump to get this to work. Thank you for your time

Links from cloud storage like OneDrive and Google drive are not accepted by Store. Azure cloud storage might be the same.

It is recommended that you try using a server to host your msix file.

Hi again @Junjie Zhu - MSFT . This afternoon I created this entry point on my server to download packages. No onedrive, no google drive. A personal server out there with the physical file on it:

https://downloads.rtiservices.online/RtiDashboardUploader/1.0/setup.msix

Still the same error. What is wrong?

Thanks for reaching out again @Junjie Zhu - MSFT ! At this point I did try Edge, Chrome, Opera, and FireFox. The good news is that the error is consistent in all browsers. The bad news is that I can still not complete package registration.

What working hosting solution do you use yourself for the packages?

You need to follow good CDN practices and ensure that this URL is performant, reliable, and available based on your market selection.
