Why is Fortnite saying an unexpected error has occurred while signing in to your account for Xbox live. Please try again later?

Hello Everyone I’ve been having an reoccurring problem with logging into my Fortnite account. It’s saying “ an unexpected error occurred while signing in to your account for Xbox live. Please try again later” and I’ve tried uninstalling to reinstalling Fortnite, holding the power button for ten seconds and unplugging all the connected cords to my Xbox. Can you answer ASAP?

Thank you for using the Microsoft Q&A forums. This may be a stale address issue. Try the following:

• Disconnect wired connection (remove LAN cable) 
• go to Settings > General > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate MAC address > Clear
• After system restart, reconnect network cable.
• Test the connection to the account. If it fails, restart the system and try again.

This should clear any stuck items if its an issue with the stale adresses.
