Why Teams is not being deployed in new enrolled devices via Intune Autopilot? What would be the reasons there?
How have you set it up for installation?
We have setup Autopilot profile via Intune.

@Vinod Survase, Thanks for posting in Q&A. For the Teams app, I would like confirm if it is deployed via Microsoft 365 Apps in Intune. If yes, this type of app will not be installed during Autopilot. This is because only some specific app types will be installed during Autopilot enrollment. Like LOB, Win32. But for Microsoft 365 Apps, it is not included. Here is a link with more details for your reference.

However, if the Teams app is still not installed after the enrollment, please troubleshoot the app deployment refer the following link:

@Vinod Survase, Hope the above information can help. Could you confirm which app type we deployed for Teams? Is it deployed via Microsoft 365 app? If there's any update, feel free to let us know.
Hi Crystal-MSFT It is Microsoft 365 app via Intune autopilot.
@Vinod Survase, Thanks for the confirmation. For this kind of app, it will not be deployed during Autopilot enrollment by default. Please check if the app will be installed after we finish Autopilot enrollment. Thanks!
Hi Crystal-MSFT, It is not being deployed after the device is enrolled by autopilot to Intune. Currently we are installing it manually on those endpoints and we observed this is happening since last month or so and before that it was installing with MS Teams Classic version but now there is new Teams app which is automatically forcing users to use new Teams on existing devices where it was installed with Classic Teams but for now the situation is Teams classic and New Teams is not being installed on endpoints when they are enrolled via Autopilot. What's the solution or way for this to resolve this issue and I assume this is not yet reported by anyone to MS that this is happening and they did not realize yet to solve this as there was an update from MS stating that New Teams app would be pushed over MS Teams Classic app and classic would not be usable for people and they need to use New Teams in between mid to end of March 2024.
@Vinod Survase, Thanks for the reply. After researching, I find there's changes in Microsoft Teams. New installations of Microsoft 365 and Office 365 will include Teams only if a Teams service plan is in place.
Please check if we have Team service plan. If not, as a workaround, try to deploy the app separately. remove the Teams from M365 Suite and deploy it as a standalone app by Intune.
Hi Crystal-MSFT, What you mean Teams service plan in place. We have Business standard and E3 licenses assigned to users and they have Teams service included in it already so there should not be any problem for this.

I've had an epiphany. We deploy to devices, not users, so they don't have licenses...
Edit: Didn't work assigned to users, no Teams!
