Replace PowerPoint 'Blank Presentation' with Custom Template

1- When I launch PowerPoint, I get the Home Screen where I see an option 'New' - 'Blank Presentation'. Can I replace the blank presentation under 'New' With my custom template so that every time i open PowerPoint on the Home page I see my custom template replaced with Blank Presentation

2: If we deploy the .potx template thru global policy in this location - C:\Users<UserID>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates, will it show up near to the Blank presentation.

3: Our requirement is business don’t want to have multiple clicks to get the custom template from Company tab (Where we have already deployed custom templates using SharePoint), recommend the best solution to show our custom template under New tab other than just to pin the template.

    The Blank Presentation icon is automatically generated by PowerPoint. It is not removable and will always create a default Microsoft blank presentation. You can save your custom template with the name Default Theme.potx. Copy it to **C:\Users<UserID>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates\Document Themes**. Then, when you restart PowerPoint and choose File>New, it will appear beside Blank Presentation as the Default Theme icon.
