Do any of you know how long SCCM keeps stale records? I need to keep device records (User, last date used) for about 10 years due to inventory.

MEMCM itself will only keep the records for ~370 days. If you enable the data warehouse, it will keep the records for 3-5 years (if I remember right). So you might need to create a custom solutions for this. But I would start with the Data warehouse.
Haha! You caught me here too.
Are there any other forums you are a member of that are active?
Well, I am interested in multiple places for information is all.
Hi,
Thanks for posting in Microsoft MECM Q&A forum.
By default, Configuration Manager deletes inventory data that's been inactive for 90 days. We can adjust this number of days in the Delete Aged Inventory History site maintenance task, however, it can keep the Aged Inventory History for up to 365 days in Configuration Manager itself.
As Garth mentioned, we can use the data warehouse service point to store and report on long-term historical data for your Configuration Manager deployment. Data synchronized to the data warehouse database, such as Inventory details and Software deployments, is kept for three years. Periodically, a built-in task removes data that's older than three years.
Refer to: The data warehouse service point for Configuration Manager

Simon
