Does the known issue below also affect the Conexant 20762 SmartAudio HD drivers installed on my Lenovo T420 Thinkpad? Thus preventing W10 update from V1904 to 2004.... Thanks for any info, Nick Jenneson

    Hi,

You could check your driver version, from 8.66.0.0 through 8.66.89.00, if sits in this range that may be problem.
I recommended you check with your device manufacturer (OEM) to see if an updated driver is available and install it.
You could refer to following link from Lenovo support to check if this helps:

    Hi Jenny,

I checked the driver for my Conexant 20762 SmartAudio HD in Device Manager under Sound, Video and Game controllers and it is version 8.32.44.0 dated 15/05/2014. I have also run a scan using the online Lenovo driver checker and it reported no updates required.

As you are aware Conexant don't directly provide their drivers to end users but only to the manufacturers that use their products, like Lenovo.
I do not plan to do anything further at this time and will await the results of your investigations.

I would also like to point out that the Conexant driver descriptions posted in the known issues with v2004 are NOT the same as the driver title of my installed driver, so I suspect it is potentially different to other Conexant audio drivers [which can be found elsewhere on the web].

    Rgds for now , Nick

On the same topic, I have a HP Spectre X360 15 laptop with Conexant SmartAudio HD.

The driver version (both in Device Manager and the properties of CHDRT64.sys) is 8.65.129.61 dated 15th May 2017.

The driver version therefore does not fall within the scope of those listed but I'm not being offered either of this year's major updates.

Is there anything definitive as to whether this version is affected or not?

    Thanks.
