DEP sync broken

Hi Guys,

We are seeing on Endpoint manager that our DEP connector has stopped syncing.
We are not able to deploy apps to iOS devices.
The token is valid and until the end of next year. We have not changed anything on the connector.

Anyone have any ideas what the issue may be caused by ?

Hey,

Your DEP connector should not have anything to do with the ability to deploy apps to your devices. That connector only links your Apple business manager or Apple school manager account with Intune so you can deploy profiles to your devices during the initial setup.

If you go in under Endpoint.microsoft.com -> Tenant Administration -> Connector status
what does it show you, are there any "unhealthy" connectors ?

If you are using VPP and buy apps through the Volume purchase program and that token is unhealthy that could cause problems with the App install. Also if the APN cert has expired that could also cause problems I believe.

Hey,

The connector status shows that the DEP connector is unhealthy.
At the moment we are having issues enrolling new devices to Intune.

We have checked all tokens and they are all valid. The tokens were issued recently and are valid for at least 8-9 more months.

Okay, what I would try in that case is to log in to your Apple Business Manager / School Manager account and renew the MDM token for Intune and upload that to Intune to see if that solves the problem. There's no impact on existing devices by doing so.

For your enrollment process, is it only "new" devices that can't enroll or do you also have issues when doing a factory reset on an existing device and trying to enroll that?

Can I assume that you are using ADE (Previously known as DEP) for all of your iOS devices you have problems with right now?

@RadoslavKissiov-0832, Research and find a similar link. Please check if we have the same issue.
https://osddeployment.dk/2016/10/18/apple-dep-stopped-syncing-to-intune/
Note: Non-Microsoft link, just for the reference.

However, if the issue still persists, please check if we can find the detailed error.

Hope it can help.

This seems similar but the issue is nothing to do with Terms and Conditions.
The only thing that comes to mind is that the token that shows its still valid will most likely need to be renewed, at least to understand and narrow down where the issue is coming from.

Yes, as a test, we can renew the token to see if everything will be working well.
