how to specify WiFiDirect band

I want to create a WiFi Direct go in 5G band using WinRT WifiDirect API with 5G band, but i can't find related api to specify the Wifi Direct Band.

I notice that the Mobile hotspot function which provided by window 11(Settings->Network & Interface) can edit the Network Band，how is it achieved？

Same question here: WinRT WiFiDirect band selection.

There is currently no related API that can modify the Network band in WinRT.

What is your project? uwp or something else? Could you please provide your scenario to help us further check the problem for you? Maybe we can solve the problem from another direction.

Hi, Thank you for you answer. I develop an connectivity software between windows and android through wifi direct with winrt api. And the windows was setted up as wifi direct go。I noticed that when windows create the wifi direct go on 2.4G band, it is disturbanced easily，so i need create the wifi direct go on 5G band。 As the question you referred, i think it is unacceptable for me. We cannot disable any band, otherwise users may not be able to connect to the desired ssid to access the internet. I think the Mobile hotspot band feature is very suitable for my needs，it can set up the ssid on the specify band, so i am very interested in how it is implemented，but you always ignore this, can't you disclose it? or using non-public APIs ? Thanks

Sorry, as I said in this question WinRT WiFiDirect band selection., there is indeed no such API. If you have a strong need for a way to specify Wi-Fi Direct bands, I suggest that you might need to open a support ticket for this.

FYI: You'll find that different people have radically different Wi-Fi environments. For some people, the 2.4 GHz band is better, and for other, the 5 GHz band will be better.

The Windows mobile hotspot (softap) is a very different technology, which is why the band can be specified for it.
