New Teams turns off monitor

Hi,

as soon as I open a Teams Meeting Preview with my camera turned on (does not matter if external camera or built in), my monitor (LG 34GN73A-B) turns off. Only with camera turned on.

Monitor is attached to a Laptop (HP ZBook Fury 15 G7 Mobile Workstation) via docking station/display port, LG monitor is main display, extended by laptop monitor.

GPU is Nvidia Quadro T2000, drivers are up to date.

If I move the teams window to the laptop monitor the LG monitor turns back on, if I move the window back to the LG monitor it turns back off and so on.

Switching the main display makes no difference.

Windows event logs show no suspicious errors.

Deleting the teams cache did not help.

Using the web version of teams works but this cannot be a long term solution.

Currently I am using the old teams app as workaround.

"Disable GPU hardware acceleration" in new teams is not possible, see also https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/1516781/screen-sharing-and-camera-issues-on-new-microsoft.

Any ideas?

    Hi @Arey

According to our research, here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

    • Check your camera settings: Open Teams and click on your profile picture, then click on Settings. Under Devices, make sure your camera is selected and the camera settings are correct. You can also try toggling the camera off and on again.
    • Check your privacy settings: Open the Windows Settings app and click on Privacy. Make sure that Camera access for this device is turned on and that Teams is allowed to access your camera.
    • Check for updates: Make sure that Microsoft Teams is up to date. Open Teams and click on your profile picture, then click on Check for updates.
    • Uninstall Teams from your device, then reinstall it.

Otherwise, New Teams currently has a few features that aren't perfect, and as an alternative solution you can switch back to old Teams if you need to. Hope the above information is helpful for you!

    Hello,

We have a customer with a Nvidia Quadro RTX A2000 and the new teams and have the same issue.

New teams or Nvidia issue, we still ignore it.

If you have more information :)

    Thanks,
