We have people working at home now due to Covid-19. They use RDS connections to their Windows 10 Pro computers at the Office. When they want to use Teams, UC-One etc they do not have a microphone. At the local station at home is a headset connected as well as a webcam. Both the camera as the sound is working at the remote workstations, but not the microphones. The system (also Teams etc) say that there is no microphone connected. When i look in device management i can see the remote camera etc but not the microphone.

I already set this grouppolicy (both at the DC and workstation) but without any results: Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/Windows Components/Remote Desktop Services/Remote Desktop Session Host/Device and Resource redirection

Does anyone have an idea how i can get these remote microphones working?!

    Local Computer Policy->Computer Configuration->Administrative Templates->Windows Components->Remote Desktop Session Host->Device and Resource Redirection

    Please ensure below two policies are enabled or not configured.
    Allow audio and video playback redirection
    Allow audio recording redirection

    Thanks to your tips we have got it working now. Only thing we cannot solve is when we use both webcam and headset. I think it might be a problem that it has two microphones so the software (Teams) freezes because it cannot see both. Unless you have a tip how to choose a different input.

    @Werner Vermelis , you should be able to select from the RDP configuration which audio input/output you want to use.
