Hello, I am doing some initial research/test on the language service summarization for a potential integration in our phone systems. I was wondering if it would be possible to get answers to a couple questions I have while reading the docs. Is the summarization capability in the language service using OpenAI under the hood? Can I get a link on a white paper for summarization(conversation and document)? I am hoping to understand how it works before designing a solution and potentially putting this feature in front of the customers. Thanks, Caesar

Summarization, as explained in the documentation this feature uses natural language processing techniques to condense articles, papers, or documents into key sentences.

Hi @VasaviLankipalle-MSFT and thanks for the message. Not really. I'm trying to under more in depth as to how it works. I notice that Azure OpenAI also have the same extractive and abstractive feature that the language service have and was wondering if they are the same. I know that in Azure OpenAI, you can choose to use OpenAI models such as gpt3, davinci, curie, etc, to use on summarizing your articles and conversations and I was wondering if language service are using the same gpt models as well and what the difference between Azure OpenAI summarization and language service summarization is.

Also, I was wondering if there is a white paper of Azure summarization that is publicly available for me to understand more in depth as to how it works before we decide to make it part of our solution.
