I'm not able to create a sql server in west europe, but i am able to create servers in other regions using my azure for students account. Using other regions costs too much for data transfer between regions.

Would anyone know the solution or why i can't add a server to my region.

Greetings, Rens

Hi @Rens van der Burg (1034400)

It's possible that there's a capacity issue in that region, which is why you're unable to add a SQL server to the West Europe location and might be getting an error "Your subscription does noy have access to create a server in the selected region"

You have two options: either create a server in another region, or if you specifically need a server in the West Europe region, you may need to open a quota support case to request capacity for your subscription to create a server in that region.

    Hope this help!

    Thank You!

I found the solution. Re-register Microsoft.SQL als Resource Provider in your subscription. This worked for me now.
