Hi, I am upvoting this question - have the same exact situation.
We had a meeting, one more person wanted to join meeting and we had to accept it via lobby.

This person was tagged as "Unverified" but he was 100% from our org, account was a member in our tenant.

    We're using new Teams.

As per original comment - all users are part of our organisation. There are no external users / guests involved

    Hi @McCambridge, John

Microsoft published this notice on February 14, 2024. Organizers and meeting participants in your organization who attend meetings with users outside of their organization - with or without a Microsoft Entra ID - will see the changes in labels that reflect the trust level of the participant with the organizer (External, Unverified, or no label).

    • No label: All participants who are part of the organizer’s organization.
    • External: All participants who are external to the organizer’s organization but have a trusted relationship with the organizer or their organization.
    • Unverified: All other participants will be seen with this label. This will include Microsoft Entra ID users who belong to organizations that do not have an explicit external access setup with the organizer’s organization, Microsoft Account (personal) users, users who are not using any Microsoft ID while joining meetings, and others.

Experiencing users showing as "unverified" in Teams Meetings and having to be admitted from the lobby can be a result of several factors. Here are some potential causes and solutions:

    1. Verification Settings: Check the meeting settings to ensure that the verification settings are configured correctly. In Teams, you can specify who can bypass the lobby and join the meeting directly, such as only users from your organization or specific domains. If the verification settings are too restrictive, it may result in users showing as "unverified."
    2. Guest Access: If some users are guests in your organization's Teams tenancy, they may be classified as "unverified" when joining meetings. Ensure that guest access is enabled and configured correctly in your Teams settings to allow guests to join meetings seamlessly.you can also check this for more updates upon this doramas flix
    3. User Permissions: Verify that all users have the appropriate permissions and licenses assigned in Teams. Users with limited permissions or expired licenses may encounter issues when joining meetings or accessing certain features.
    4. Tenant Configuration: Review your organization's Teams tenant configuration to ensure that it aligns with your security and access policies. There may be specific settings or policies that are causing users to be marked as "unverified" or require admission from the lobby.
    5. Update Teams Client: Ensure that all users have the latest version of the Teams client installed on their devices. Outdated software versions may lack certain features or bug fixes that could contribute to issues with meeting participation and verification.
    6. Troubleshoot Individual Users: If the issue persists for specific users, troubleshoot their accounts individually. Check for any account-specific settings or configurations that may be causing the problem, such as incorrect authentication settings or account restrictions.
    7. Contact Microsoft Support: If you've checked all the settings and configurations and are still experiencing issues with users showing as "unverified" in Teams Meetings, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for further assistance. They can help diagnose the problem and provide personalized troubleshooting steps based on your organization's setup.

By addressing these potential causes and implementing appropriate solutions, you can resolve issues with users showing as "unverified" in Teams Meetings and ensure a smoother meeting experience for all participants in your organization.

    SOLUTION:

Install and use Microsoft Teams Classic version.

Microsoft should stop forcing their sh)tty products to their end users until they are completed. This is not the first serious issue that they've had recently...
