Based on the provided context, it seems that the Azure Policy built-in policy definitions for Azure Update Manager and Automanage can help with automatic updates for virtual machines. However, it is unclear how to address the specific issue mentioned in the user's question regarding the Microsoft .NET Core Security Update for January 2024.

Without additional information, it is difficult to provide a comprehensive answer to the user's question. It is recommended that the user reviews the Azure Policy documentation and seeks additional support from Microsoft Azure support if needed.
