Hello,

I have a question I'm new in this and hope yoy can help me.

When a device is enrolled true Intune and has a valid certificate for one year. Wat happens if the device is offline during the renewal period. If I'am corect that was about 40 days before the expiration date. I know that there wil be running a task during those 40 days to renew the certificate.

But what happens if the device was online all the time except in those renewal days?

Hope you can help me.

Kind regards and thank you in advance.

@Richard, Thanks for posting in Q&A.

From your description, I know you want to know what happens if your device offline during the renew days.

Based on my research, if the Intune MDM device certificate expires, the device will stop communicating with Intune, and all sorts of important Intune stuff will stop working, like Intune device configure policies.

Moreover, if you have a device that was offline during the renewal period, you may need to manually unenroll and re-enroll the device into Intune.

Therefore, it is vital that renew the certificate before expiration.

Here is a link about how to renew the certificate.

    Non-official, just for reference.

    Hope it will help.
