MS Teams integration with Skype for Business 2015

In our skype for Business environment, we have skype for 2015 hybrid setup. Recently we enabled MS Teams.

Now, we want to integrate MS Teams with Skype for Business.

Is it possible?

Thank You
Nur

@NurHossain-4331,

Sure. It needs to configure hybrid connectivity between Skype for Business server and Microsoft 365 or Office 365 first. Then upgrade from Skype for Business to Microsoft Teams.

For Skype for Business hybrid deployment, please refer to this article: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/SkypeForBusiness/hybrid/plan-hybrid-connectivity?toc=/SkypeForBusiness/sfbhybridtoc/toc.json.

For upgrading from Skype for Business to Microsoft Teams, please refer to this article: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/upgrade-start-here.

@NurHossain-4331,

What coexistence mode does your tenant use?

If you are in Islands mode, each of the client applications operates as a separate island. Skype for Business talks to Skype for Business, and Teams talks to Teams.

The tables below capture routing of in-tenant chat and calls, and are valid for new calls or chats that are not started from a pre-existing thread. It describes which client will receive a new call or chat, if originated by a user on the left, to an in-tenant recipient user on the right.

Besides, this article gives a more detailed explanation about coexistence with Skype for Business. You can refer to it.
