OpenAI Studio Chat Playground settings - 'System Message' remains the same for all deployment configurations

Hello,

I am using OpenAI Studio Chat playground.

I have two separate Deployments using the gpt-35-turbo model, using two different search service indexes as data sources.

I have two questions:

1.) Do chat playground settings need to be exported to maintain settings such as system messages and data sources specific to each deployment configuration?

2.) The 'Deploy To' button no longer has the Copilot Studio option, after deploying one of the deployment configurations. Do subsequent Copilot Studio deployments require manual configuration within that portal? The button initially provided a quick bot creation method but was not available for the second configuration

@Mr Ritch Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Forum, Thank you for posting your query here!

I am able to reproduce this issue at my end. I was able to add a data source and then post refreshing the browser or by opening a new browser instance (not a separate tab) the System message and the data source was removed from the Azure Open AI studio.

This is a known issue. Azure Open AI Add Your Data feature is currently a preview feature. Product Group team confirmed that these kind of custom configurations (including the system prompt message and the data sources are not ready to be saved between the browser sessions yet.

    .

Product Owners confirmed they are working to make this to happen as soon as possible, so it´s on the current roadmap for Azure OpenAI, but there is no ETA we can share at this moment. The workaround suggested is to reuse the Search Index created during the first configuration when you need to use this feature.

    .

Please note that your actual data source like Cognitive search, storage resource and the search index will not be deleted in the background.

    .

    Available Solution:

Alternatively, You can try to Chat with Azure OpenAI models using your own data via the preferred programming language from your app as shown here. Hope this answers.

Regarding your question about the copilot , please note that deploying to a copilot in Copilot Studio (preview) is only available in US regions. To build and deploy (perform any customizations) for your app, please follow this article.
